Director of Strategic Partnerships
Joe Carley is focused on developing partnerships with organizations in rural communities and supporting the initiatives of partner organizations. He also serves as director for economic development at IU. In this role, he works closely with Southwest Central Indiana organizations such as Crane, the Applied Research Institute, Regional Opportunity Initiatives, and Radius Indiana. He has worked on the development and implementation of the plan for economic prosperity in Southwest Central Indiana since 2014.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Arts in public administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a focus on economic planning, and a law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
