Lynn Coyne served as the president of the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation from 2014 to 2019 following his retirement as assistant vice president for real estate and associate counsel at Indiana University. Before joining the university, Coyne held a private practice with a focus on real estate law, along with development, business transactions, and real estate planning. He managed all of the real estate assets of Indiana University throughout the state during his time there and served as its real estate attorney as well as counsel in various other transactions.
Coyne is honored to have been bestowed with a number of awards throughout his career, including the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service from Indiana University, the Distinguished Service Award from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.
Coyne holds a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a B.A. in East European languages and literatures (Russian) from IU.
