Expungement Help Desk

The expungement help desk was a collaboration between Indiana Legal Services, Indiana University Maurer School of Law and New Leaf New Life. The help desk was located at New Leaf New Life and was open two days a week during the late afternoon/evening and was staffed by law students. It served as a center for information for the general public, as well as a place for law students to work with Indiana Legal Services' clients on their expungements. Law students communicated with clients directly, prepared the expungement paperwork, and went over the paperwork with the client when it was ready for the client's signature. An Indiana Legal Services attorney supervised the law students work and represented the client in their expungement. This resulted in 72 expungements.
