Health: Museum Art Therapy for Caregivers; Quality of Place: Rural Teachers Engaging Art

Project abstract

The Rural Teachers Engaging Art program at the IU Eskenazi Museum of Art shares and studies school-based techniques for engaging with museum collections. The program includes professional development that pairs the healing power of art with educators of children impacted by the addictions crisis. The Museum Art Therapy for Caregivers program offers group sessions at the Eskenazi Museum of Art and at TC Steele State Historic Site for those providing care for individuals suffering from the addictions crisis.
