Nicholas Smaligo is the Center for Rural Engagement’s community resilience liaison, focused on supporting rural communities in their efforts to address challenges related to food systems, water resources, and climate adaptation. Nick works with faculty partners across Indiana University to help connect their research to rural communities’ visions for resilient development. He also works with the Indiana Resilience Funding Hub in partnership with the Environmental Resilience Institute to support access to federal grant money for projects in rural towns.
