Denny Spinner leads the Center for Rural Engagement's efforts to improve the lives of Hoosiers. He is the former executive director of the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs and served as the mayor of Huntingburg for nine years. He is also a former president of the Accelerate Indiana Municipalities (AIM) executive board.
Denny held a position on the Executive Committee for Dubois Strong, served as the chief elected officer for Dubois County on the Region 11 Workforce Investment Board, and chaired the Huntingburg Stellar committee, which earned the city the Stellar Community designation in 2014. Additionally, Denny has been an active member of the Huntingburg community, with a number of civic boards, committees, and other leadership roles.
Denny is a graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in career and technical education and Vincennes University with an associate’s degree in broadcast production technology.
