Project abstract
Kelley Impact (KI) will lead and broaden the core of what the Kelley HOPE Digital Project has offered. Indiana University students can gain several advantages from KI. They can use what they learn in the classroom to tackle real-world problems, receive useful experience leading high-impact projects in a group setting, and sharpen their competitive edge by developing in-demand skills. Additionally, an academically rich experiential curriculum gives students the chance to focus forward, making a positive effect on their career trajectory and opening doors for employment in business technology.
KI offers a more diverse and foster a leadership-inclusive atmosphere where students from many backgrounds can collaborate to improve the Indiana communities by extending the program to include students from various degree programs. The program has the potential to have significant beneficial impact on Indiana communities, connect students with professionals in the field, and develop a pool of future business leaders by equipping them with the knowledge and practical experience they need.

Leverages the potential of university graduate students in assisting economic development efforts in rural communities by conducting in-depth research and analysis to understand the economic landscape of rural communities. This includes studying local industries, market trends, employment
patterns, and resource utilization. By gathering data and conducting surveys, graduate students can identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) to inform targeted economic development strategies - tailored to the specific needs of these communities, driving sustainable economic growth, and improving the quality of life for residents.

Project abstract
Founded in a theology of hope rooted in the love of God, we pursue renewal in communities and churches, utilizing a strategy of appreciative inquiry to ask questions and listen, to discover gifts and needs, to dream with communities about what could be, then to facilitate designing what should be, and empower participants to be part of their community’s renewal. As church members use their God-given gifts, we believe they and their church communities will also be renewed.
Our work is based on an asset-based approach that considers the identification of gaps and expressed/unexpressed needs in rural communities will build a pipeline of parishioners and those from the broader faith community (welcoming all) into the program, deepen our partnership with other faith communities, solidify our ties with chosen communities, provide positive outcomes through civic engagement and societal impact, and enhance the community development and economic framework of our initial chosen communities. Additionally, DWIG, as part of the church, will meet core foundational pillars of our faith by identifying individuals who will share their gifts by giving their time, talents, and devotion by their own modeling of faith through works.

(Kelley School Course – Joint initiative between Kelley’s MBA Program and Undergraduate Programs) develop business leaders who impact a diverse set of clients in Bloomington and the surrounding area, with a special focus on businesses owned by women and under-represented minorities, or organizations that empower these populations. Kelley students provide consulting services to local clients with the goal of fostering positive social and economic impact in the Bloomington community, while leaving behind a strong Kelley Brand. 1Kelley represents the idea that the Kelley undergraduate and graduate programs can make a more lasting difference in our community if we work together and mobilize our combined resources. Undergraduate participants will apply business principles and logical frameworks to solve problems for their clients. By working on a live project for a client, they will gain critical skills in project management, teamwork, client, and intra-group communication, and problem-solving.
