Aging in Place: Check-in Tree Evaluation

As part of a larger aging-in-place initiative within the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, this project investigated different ways for older adults to provide peer caregiving activities, such as daily check-ins. Peer caregiving empowers older adults to care for one another, and it can not only reduce healthcare costs but it can also encourage healthy behaviors and facilitate older adults' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being by fostering social support. It is a way to transform responsibilities traditionally placed on caregivers as opportunities for older adults to help each other age in place.
