Aldrich Focus Groups

The Aldrich Project Advisory Group's continued aim is to expand access to substance use prevention programming for students in grades K-8, through the implementation of the evidence-based Second Step social- emotional learning curriculum. As an interprofessional community health project, undergraduate and graduate students from the IUB School of Nursing, IUB School of Education, IUB Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, IUB School of Public Health, and IUB School of Social Work collaborate to implement and evaluate the curriculum. The overall goal of this project is to increase social-emotional learning skills and strategies for school-aged youth creating more confident, resilient, and healthy youth in rural communities.
