Holland Downtown Improvement

Like many rural towns, Holland's downtown faces the challenges of restoration, revitalization, and the need for more public spaces. In 2016, the community celebrated the state's bicentennial by successfully completing the Holland Commons project, which has since become a cherished gathering space for annual events that highlight the town's heritage. Building on this success, residents are now working to expand the project by creating additional public gathering spaces, connecting them to key sites and amenities, and enhancing the overall quality of life in Holland. To support these efforts, the town council partnered with students from the IU O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs to conduct a comprehensive needs analysis and provide updated data to guide future projects.
