Jasper Piano Alley Mural and Sensor Project

Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design faculty and students created and implemented an alleyway mural in spring and summer 2023, which was dedicated to Jasper's piano manufacturing history through Kimball Electronics. The second part of the project assembled a team of Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering students to design sound sensors for an engineering major capstone project. The students have created and prototyped design options for a sound sensor system that is light and easy to install and affordable to maintain. The prototype is expected to be tested and installed in spring 2025.
