Brown County Community Health Needs Assessment

The Center for Rural Engagement and School of Public Health-Bloomington are working with community members and stakeholders in understanding and identifying the health needs in Brown County through systematic, data collection and analysis, and leveraging results to help create actionable and sustainable community change. In Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, Rural Scholars attended meetings with community organizations, developed a logic model for the process of the CHNA, provided support for 2 Health and Wellness Expos, and assisted in collecting survey data for the CHNA. Rural Scholars also worked with the Brown County Community Foundation on creating a zine that documents the experience of being a student working with community health organizations in rural Indiana.
