City Gateways: Mitchell

Bedford and Mitchell were seeking gateway designs that included specs, drawings, and a budget that could be taken to Indiana Limestone to move toward production. Both cities reviewed several student-generated conceptual designs with limestone as the primary material and selected one finalized design plan and one set of production plans. The designs were created to reflect the community's identity—welcoming, warmth, and Hoosier hospitality. The community liaisons were Marla Jones, Bedford's business and community development director, and Mark Bryant, the Clerk-Treasurer for the city of Mitchell.
