Health: IU Water Safety Day

Project abstract

April 9th has been set aside in an effort to get all IU campuses to push out information and programming related to water safety. April is a crucial time since starting at this time drowning rates begin to climb as we hit warmer weather in Indiana. The program is designed to have touch points in the water were possible but also information that families can share about best practices. In conjunction, the IU Aquatics Institute is sponsoring a youth Water Safety Poster Contest as well. Rural counties in Indiana will be targeted with a special focus on the CRE county f emphasis.
